Auction Services - Business Development & Account Management
Business Development Managers sell, sign, and manage asset recovery projects, including auctions and negotiated private treaty sales, to companies with surplus capital equipment or firms in distress.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospect & qualify leads using personal network or by cold calling internal lists, purchased lists, industry publications, etc.
- Develop and deliver relevant presentations to multiple levels with prospective clients.
- Pricing of prospective equipment lists using historical databases, Corporate Internet Auction appraisers, and industry dealers.
- Budgeting, negotiating and contracting projects.
- Manage existing accounts by coordinating and communicating project activity to clients.
- Generate repeat business by maintaining strong relationships with clients and anticipating their needs.
- Must be well organized and work well within a team. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of all aspects of your projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience to Large corporations: Fortune 2000
- Full or Part time
- Strong personal and telephone communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with all levels of client contacts
- Highly motivated self-starter who is committed to results
- Frequent, nationwide travel.
- Appraisal accreditations and experience with remarketing or leasing of capital equipment preferred

Asset Services - Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Auctioneers & Specification Writers
The CIA LLC seeks reliable and professional field staff for its auction projects.
Project Managers and Site supervisors are responsible for auction set up - clean, organize, tag, photograph and catalog entire facilities. Prior to a sale they conduct pre-sale inspection appointments. During sales they may serve as "ring men" to assist the Auctioneer for on-site auctions not for Internet auctions. After the sale they oversee the removal of paid items. Candidates must be familiar with computers, comfortable working with clients and bidders, and enjoy traveling. Project managers supervise work crews when necessary and have a greater depth of knowledge of equipment. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented and capable of managing the entire lifecycle of a project. Nationwide travel is required.

Auctioneer candidates should be licensed in multiple states and have at least 3 years experience auctioning machinery & equipment from numerous manufacturing fields. Candidates should be comfortable with technology and enjoy managing a fast-paced and professional auction environment. Appraisal accreditations are desired. Technical Specification Writers travel to equipment locations and generate consistent and factual technical specification copy which is used for auction brochures, online equipment lists, and other advertising. They work with on-location personnel to verify technical specifications including capacity, size, age, and refurbishment details. Candidates should have a deep knowledge of machinery, previous experience with technical writing, and knowledge of equipment across a broad range of industries. In addition, candidates should be familiar with computers, comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, and able to travel regularly.
